TermsProof

Prove agreement acceptance. Beyond dispute.

When an agreement is challenged, a screenshot or a vendor-hosted audit trail isn’t enough — you need a copy of the exact document each party saw and accepted, with independent proof of when. TermsProof seals each acceptance — the exact document, who agreed, and when — into a tamper-evident, RFC-3161-timestamped certificate a court, counterparty, or regulator can recompute independently, and keeps the archived copy, so your proof doesn’t expire on a vendor’s retention clock.

Why TermsProof vs. legacy e-signature tools

Proof should outlast the dispute — and not depend on any one vendor staying online. Three ways TermsProof is built differently.

Independently verifiable
Anyone handed a certificate can recompute its proof — a court, counterparty, or regulator — with no vendor lookup, no login, and no account. Legacy e-signature tools verify only inside their own platform.
No session replay
We seal the agreement language and one-way-hash the signer’s identity — we never record the signer’s screen. Replay-based tools snapshot the whole session, drawing their own wiretap and privacy exposure.
Proof you keep — not proof they can delete
Your sealed evidence verifies offline, indefinitely, with no dependence on us — it’s yours even if you leave, and it can’t be quietly revoked when a subscription lapses.

How it works

A certificate graduates from the party that creates it to the parties that rely on it — each step names who’s involved.

01You act
Send
Sender
Create an agreement — link a hosted document or upload a PDF — add your signers, and send. Each party gets a private, single-use signing link.
02Automatic
Seal
TermsProof · neutral third party
At each signature, TermsProof archives and hashes the exact document and its exhibits, binds the signer’s identity and intent to sign, and anchors it with an RFC-3161 trusted timestamp — fixed to a moment, and any later alteration is detectable.
03Whoever relies on it
Prove
Counterparty · Counsel · Regulator
Verify or defend an executed agreement anytime. The certificate’s proof recomputes independently — no vendor lookup, no login, no account — long after a screenshot or a vendor-hosted audit trail would.

What you get

Every agreement carries its proof
A certificate rides with each executed agreement. A counterparty, court, or regulator can independently recompute the proof and re-check the timestamp.
The exact document, archived + hashed
The agreement and its exhibits are fetched (or stored byte-exact for uploads), archived, and hashed at each signature — the full context, not just a signature line.
Multi-party signing, in order
Route an agreement to one signer or many, with an enforced signing order — each party’s acceptance sealed as its own step, with a combined execution record.
Identity assurance
Each signer is bound to their acceptance — email-verified at minimum, with stronger tiers available — and their intent to sign is captured explicitly.
Immutable audit trail
Every transition — sent, viewed, signed, executed — is recorded as an append-only, tamper-evident event you can show end to end.
Drift monitoring of hosted terms
For a hosted document, re-fetch it over time and detect whether the live language has materially changed since it was signed.
Court-ready evidence
A sealed record with a compound SHA-256 across every component, verifiable without access to TermsProof — with a signed attestation when you need one.
Hosted or uploaded documents
Certify a live hosted agreement or an uploaded PDF through a single flow — same downstream verification either way.

Common questions

What is TermsProof?
TermsProof produces a tamper-evident, independently-verifiable record of an agreement — the exact document version, who accepted it, and when. At each signature it archives and hashes the document and its exhibits, binds the signer’s identity and intent, and anchors the record with an RFC-3161 trusted timestamp. The result is a certificate a counterparty, court, or regulator can recompute with no vendor lookup, no login, and no account — and it holds up long after a screenshot or a vendor-hosted audit trail would.
Can a counterparty verify without an account?
Yes. With no login, anyone handed a certificate ID and a hash can confirm on the Verify page that the record is genuine and untampered — the integrity is recomputed and the trusted timestamp re-checked, with nothing exposed beyond pass/fail.
What do you do with personal data?
Signer identity is one-way hashed, and there is no session replay. TermsProof seals evidence of the agreement, not a recording of the signer.
Is a certificate a legal-validity guarantee?
No. It is a tamper-evident technical record of what was presented and agreed. It is not legal advice, and not a determination that any agreement is enforceable under ESIGN, UETA, or any other rule.
Does TermsProof support ESIGN / electronic signatures?
Yes — TermsProof is built for electronic acceptance under the federal ESIGN Act and state UETA: each signer affirmatively agrees, their intent to sign and identity are captured, and the exact document is sealed with a trusted timestamp. Two things to keep in mind. First, TermsProof gives you stronger evidence than a typical e-signature audit trail — an independently reproducible cryptographic seal a court or counterparty can recompute without logging into any vendor. Second, a valid electronic transaction still requires you, as the sender, to meet the usual prerequisites — obtaining each signer’s consent to transact electronically, presenting any required disclosures, and delivering the executed copy. TermsProof provides the record and the tools; it isn’t legal advice or a determination of enforceability. See the Terms for details.
Hosted document or uploaded PDF?
Either. Link a hosted agreement — which is then monitored for drift — or upload a PDF that is sealed byte-exact. Both flow through the same signing and verification path.
How is it priced?
Usage-based credits, with no subscription — you spend credits per action, and the more you buy the less each costs. Verifying a certificate is free. See the Pricing page for details.
